Terms of Service

Last updated October 28, 2026

Rotaserie is scheduling software for restaurants, run by Robert Banchero in Shoreline, Washington ("Rotaserie", "we"). By using Rotaserie you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

Who these terms cover

Restaurants (the owner or manager who sets up the account) and staff (people a restaurant invites to see schedules, trade shifts and request time off). A restaurant is responsible for the people it invites and for what it enters.

Your account

Keep your password private and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for activity under your account. Give accurate information, and use the app only for running or working at a restaurant.

Restaurant data is yours

Schedules, staff lists, availability, sales figures and everything else a restaurant enters stays the restaurant's. You give us permission to store and process it only to run Rotaserie for you. We don't sell it. See the Privacy Policy.

Scheduling tools are aids, not legal advice

Rotaserie includes checks for things like overtime, minors' hours, meal breaks and minimum wage, and estimates of labor cost and pay. These are helpers and can be wrong or out of date. The restaurant stays responsible for following wage-and-hour and labor laws and for paying staff correctly. Check anything important against the law and your own payroll.

Acceptable use

Don't break the law, try to get into other people's accounts or other restaurants' data, probe or disrupt the service, upload harmful code, or use Rotaserie to harass anyone.

Fees

Pricing is agreed with each restaurant. If we start charging, we will tell the restaurant the price before it is charged, and changes apply only after notice.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Rotaserie running and keep nightly backups, but it is provided "as is" and "as available" and may sometimes be down or have errors. We may improve, change or retire features, and we'll give reasonable notice of changes that matter. Keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose; you can download your schedule and backups from the app.

Ending your use

A restaurant can stop using Rotaserie at any time and ask us to delete its data (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or others at risk.

Limits on our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, Rotaserie is not liable for indirect or lost-profit damages, or for wage, penalty or other claims that come from scheduling or pay decisions made using the app. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount the restaurant paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits rights you have under law that cannot be waived.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant we will tell restaurants by email. Using Rotaserie after a change means you accept it.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Questions: robertebanchero@gmail.com.
